Mojolaoluwa Aderemi-Makinde – Non-Executive Director

Mojolaoluwa Aderemi-Makinde (Jola) is a strategic advisor and independent non-executive director with almost two decades of experience helping organizations drive sustainable growth and impact. As a passionate advocate for the arts – and a proud mum to a budding dancer – Jola is deeply committed to the mission of Impact Dance Foundation and the power of movement to unlock confidence, community, and opportunity for young people.
 
As Principal Consultant at Bricks Digital, she partners with organizations on go-to-market strategy, partnerships, and digital transformation. A key focus of her work is advancing AI literacy and governance, equipping businesses to engage with emerging technologies responsibly. She also coaches purpose-driven founders to build profitable, sustainable ventures.
 
Jola is widely recognized for her leadership at Google, where as Head of Brand and Reputation for Africa, she pioneered and scaled initiatives like the Google Hustle Academy. She helped train over 10 million people with digital skills and built a wide range of high-level public-private partnerships, earning recognition for advancing sustainable development, MSME growth, and gender inclusion.
 
Along with Impact Dance Foundation, Jola serves on the boards of SheCodes Africa and Leading Ladies Africa, driven by her dedication to championing diversity and inclusion. She previously served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Bankly Microfinance Bank (Fintech).
 
Jola holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Lagos, an MSc from the University of Bath, and an Executive Education Certificate in Marketing from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
