IMPACT DANCE ACADEMY BURSARY CRITERIA
The cost of attending Academy should not be a barrier to any young person wishing to attend Impact Dance. We offer a series of bursaries to support those with financial challenges.
Bursary Scheme
Fee per term from September – £80.00
Level 1 – 25% discount – £60 per term
Level 2 – 50% discount – £40 per term
Level 3 – 75% discount – £20 per term
Level 4 – Full bursary – 100% fees covered

Decision Process
A recommendation is made by the person making the assessment based on the individuals’ circumstances. This is the discussed with a second member of Senior Management Team for final decision and approval.
Bursary Criteria
The following will be taken into consideration when assessing individuals’ circumstances:
- The applicant receives Free School Meals
- The applicant receives Pupil Premium
- One or both parents living in the same household as the applicant receives Universal Credit
- One or both parents living in the same household as the applicant receives Housing Benefit
- The applicant lives in one of the following areas: Westminster, Camden, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Ealing, Wandsworth, Enfield, Haringey, Brent, Lewisham, Barking & Dagenham, Hackney, Hounslow, Lambeth, Redbridge, Barnet, Bexley, Croydon and Southwark
- The applicant has an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) or are waiting for an EHCP
- The applicant is living in care
- The applicant is a migrant, asylum seeker or undocumented person
- The applicant travels more that 40 miles to attend Academy
- The applicant is in receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
- The applicant is in receipt of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
- The applicant has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
- The applicant (or their household) is in receipt of disability-related elements of Universal Credit or other recognised disability-related financial support
- In some cases, an applicant may experience financial hardship as a direct result of disability or additional needs but may not yet be in receipt of formal disability-related benefits or an EHCP. In these circumstances, the academy may consider applications on a case-by-case basis, based on the applicant’s explanation of how disability-related circumstances create financial barriers to participation, and in line with the academy’s bursary assessment framework.
Applicants will not be required to disclose medical diagnoses or detailed personal information as part of the bursary assessment.
- Any other short term or ongoing situation that is causing the applicant financial hardship
