Reice Weathers’ time at Impact Dance played a pivotal role in shaping both his creativity and his outlook as a performer. Joining the company as a young teenager, he quickly discovered a space that nurtured confidence, technical skill, and a sense of belonging. Today, Reice balances a career as a professional actor with work facilitating creative projects for young people and communities.
The Impact Effect
For Reice, Impact was more than training in dance; it was a formative environment for growth. “Impact was an important place where I grew in confidence, developed skills, and found inspiration that still influences me today,” he reflects. The company provided him with early opportunities to perform, collaborate, and develop leadership skills that remain central to his creative practice.
Best Memories / Highlights
One standout moment was performing at the Birmingham ICC in June 2006 alongside peers he had known and grown close to during his time at Impact. That experience not only strengthened bonds but also gave Reice a lasting sense of the thrill and responsibility of performing live on a big stage.
Life After Impact
Since leaving Impact, Reice has pursued a successful career in TV, theatre, and film, with credits including Seaview, The Continental, Ted Lasso, Upstart Crow, Doctors, and Upstage. Alongside performing, he remains committed to community engagement, working with young people to inspire the next generation of artists.
