Jermaine Johnson’s time at Impact Dance provided the spark that set him on a lifelong journey in performance, movement, and personal development. Joining at a time when he needed a positive, creative outlet, he quickly found a space where he could grow, perform, and connect with peers who shared his passion.
The Impact Effect
Impact Dance taught Jermaine to step outside his comfort zone and discover his confidence. “It gave me the chance to work with people I’d never met before, and as a result, I made a lifelong best friend who was later best man at my wedding,” he recalls. Beyond technical training, Impact instilled resilience, teamwork, and the belief that he could achieve more than he thought possible.
Best Memories / Highlights
Performing at the NEC Arena in Birmingham and at the Lilian Baylis Theatre as part of Breakin’ Convention weekend were standout moments. These experiences showed Jermaine the power of live performance and collaboration.
Life After Impact
Jermaine went on to pursue a successful career in dance and fitness, performing on shows like The X Factor and collaborating with artists including Whitney Houston, Alexandra Burke, Little Mix, and Robbie Williams at the Brit Awards. Today, he channels his expertise as a Global Fitness Trainer at Peloton Interactive, inspiring people worldwide through movement and wellness.
Impact Dance inspired me to push even further in dance, as at the time it was the one thing I truly excelled at. I’ll always be grateful for the opportunity to have been part of Impact.
