For Parents and Teachers

Impact Dance: Origin offers far more than dance. It helps young people build confidence, stay active, and develop into strong communicators and team players.

It’s a safe space where boys, young men, and male-presenting young people aged 11-19 can grow into expressive and resilient individuals – through movement, mentorship, and community.

We understand that adolescence can be a time of uncertainty, change, and pressure. Origin provides a positive, structured outlet for energy, self-expression, and growth that supports young people’s physical health, mental well-being, and emotional development.

Why Parents Choose Impact Dance:

  • Safe & Supportive Environment – Led by DBS-checked professionals with decades of experience mentoring young people through creative practice.
  • Physical & Mental Health Benefits – Regular movement supports healthy lifestyles, while expressive tools like freestyle and performance coaching support emotional regulation and self-esteem.
  • Confidence & Communication – Our sessions emphasise leadership, self-expression, and teamwork to help participants grow as communicators, both on and off the dance floor.
  • Accountability & Routine – Being part of a team encourages time management, discipline, and consistency which are crucial skills for navigating school, home, and future pathways.
  • Role Models & Mentors – Young people work closely with established professionals and older Impact Dance members who offer positive peer support and encouragement.

Why Teachers Recommend Us:

  • Our work aligns with PSHE, PE, Performing Arts, and Wellbeing priorities in secondary education.
  • We engage young people who may be disengaged from mainstream education or seeking alternative ways to connect and achieve.
  • Participants develop transferable skills – such as resilience, self-expression, active listening, and leadership – that translate back into the classroom and community.
  • We’re proud to have worked with schools, youth clubs, and arts organisations across the UK and internationally.

Whether a young person is looking for a creative outlet, a social connection, or a pathway into professional training, Impact Dance: Origin is designed to support and challenge them in equal measure.
