Bloomsbury Festival

Bloomsbury Festival is an annual celebration of the area’s creativity, presenting an inspiring programme of culture, arts, science, literature, performance, discussion and debate.

Catch us on the main stage performing a BRAND NEW piece of work as part of The Store Street Global Garden Party.

Performing a specially commissioned piece exploring and celebrating the festival’s 2022 theme, ‘Breathe’. This piece has been dedicated to the Memory of Roma Backhouse (1977 – 2021), founder of the Bloomsbury Festival.

“Roma loved expressive performance and dance was something she was particularly passionate about, whether this was going to see a Pina Bausch piece at Sadler’s Wells or just our kitchen disco. Dance was always central to the Bloomsbury Festival, quite often in unusual settings and occurring in ways that would catch people by surprise, so preconceptions about what people might ‘like’ couldn’t interfere with how people encountered it spontaneously. She was great at this; getting people to engage in art they wouldn’t ordinarily or willingly seek for themselves, and then finding that they loved it.” – Geoff Harrison

We’re performing at 6.50pm & 7.50pm hope to see you there!
