Impact Dance will be opening the Bloomsbury Festival with Journeys 2 Justice
This work takes the audience on an emotional voyage, exploring the physical and metaphorical journey of African people from enslavement to freedom during the 18th and 19thcentury. It also examines the lack of contemporary education around the history of the slave trade and asks what it means for young people today?
Journeys 2 Justice was first premiered by the company in August 2023 at City Hall, as part of the Mayor of London’s UNESCO Day of remembrance for the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade.
This event is by invitation only.
